GEORGE'S PEDAL POWER SUCCESS
A brave and determined George Webb used pedal power to raise cash for research into Diamond Blackfan Anaemia, an illness he suffers from. George's Uncle, James Painter, who had to pedal hard to keep up, accompanied George on his bike ride.On the same day Birchington Social Club held a fund raising Bar-be-que and Broadstairs Green Grocer, John Prentis held a party in his yard, bringing the total funds raised on the day to well over £3,000.

GROUND BREAKING STUFF FOR RAMSGATE
Forget the bucket and spade we need a digger! A project for Ramsgate's beach
front that has been 5 years in the planning, finally got underway. The Royal
Sands Development will aid regeneration for the area bringing
major benefits to the local economy and increase what is on offer for both
residents and visitors alike with a new hotel, children's play area, health and
fitness studio and 107 apartments.

SINGING FOR THEIR SUPPER
Thanet Male Voice Choir was founded in 1977 so this year they celebrated
their 30th anniversary with a performance at St Augustine's in Westgate-on-Sea.
Terence Painter Properties were delighted to support the Choirs programme helping them to continue to delight audiences across Thanet and beyond.

The 'Performing Arts In Ramsgate' are hoping to create a new
Community centre for the town in the Royal Pavilion by Ramsgate

PRIDE IN KENT
Margate hosted Kent's only P.R.I.D.E. event this year. It was a magical
one day with a funfair and live entertainment featuring local singers
and bands headlined by Sheila's Wheels,(The girls off the telly!).
Andrea House, HR Manager for Terence Painter Properties, was on the committee that managed to host a magnificent day with over 5,000 visitors.

CHANGING THE WINDS OF SUCCESS
Ursuline College were proud winners of the “Most Enterprising Idea” at the
Business of Enterprise finals, for their Tri Life Wind Turbine, which combines
wind, wave and solar energy. Terence Painter helped judge the competition and commented 'We need to invest time to help the youngsters as they are our
future - their idea was innovative and showed a real passion for green
energy'.

Each of Terence Painter Properties branches have taken part in teaching pupils
in Thanet the in’s and out’s of Estate Agency, in conjunction with
Enterprise Kent and were awarded Commendation Certificates for 2006 and 2007 for our work with local pupils.

BREAKING RECORD IN WESTGATE
“The Westgate Record” is a quarterly publication for the residents of
Westgate. It focuses on what is happening in the area and is a useful
source of information. It only survives on contributions from local

SANTA'S LITTLE HELPERS
Local families were struggling to visit a big shopping centre’s Santa’s Grotto so local businesses got together and with support from Terence Painter Properties created a Santa’s Grotto along with a Noddy train. It was great to see the children enjoying themselves whilst helping to keep business local to the area.

CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY
Donna Gray, Branch Manager at Terence Painter Properties Westgate Office, is on the board of Governors at St Crispin’s School in Westgate. They have been raising money for school equipment and we donated prizes for their Christmas raffle to help them with their efforts.

SCORING IN THANET
Thanet Colts under 13’s football team were founded in 1992. They have
won honours in the league and cup competitions. It is run by volunteers
to promote football in Thanet and Terence Painter were proud sponsors
of the 2005/2006 season.

CARING FOR THE SQUARE
Westgate on Sea’s, Adrian’s Square Gardens had become a favourite spot
for fly tipping. Staff at Terence Painter Properties Westgate office with support of the Community Warden and the Ward Councillor organised a clear up. Residents and locals got involved and cleared 6 bags of rubbish along with some larger unusual items.

LIGHTING THE WAY
Terence Painter Properties established their business in Westgate on Sea in
1991 and have always been keen to help support the town's events and initiatives. 'Westgate has an array of great architecture, quaint shops
and fabulous beaches and we hold it in great affection' commented Terence.'So when asked to sponsor the Christmas Lights we were pleased to help'.

CAPTURING PRECIOUS MEMORIES
Terence Painter presented a camera and printer to the Queen Elizabeth
Queen Mother Hospital's Maternity Unit. A gift so that all new mothers, in particular those that are only able to have a few precious moments with their baby, could capture a picture of their child as a lasting memory.

SK8 PARK
Terence Painter was the Vice Chairman of Minster Match, which obtained
funding for a skate park for the residents of Minster. Minster Match looks
at the regeneration of the area and worked hard to fund this facility for the local people.

TRADITIONAL TRADITIONS
Carol Singers at Christmas is a real tradition that everybody loves
and Terence Painter likes to be traditional. Every year we have
Carol singers outside our Broadstairs Branch providing shoppers
with Yuletide Singing, whilst we provide the singers with Mulled wine

WHAT A GOOD READ FOR THE COMMUNITY
As part of the Minster Match Project the village of Minster also gained a
library and community centre, really bringing the heart of the village together with more local facilities. Terence Painter was proud to be part of the project that assisted in the regeneration of Minster village.

HARBOUR WALL BANGER
A Cocktail of people turned up for a charity run along the beaches of
Broadstairs in aid of local charities. Terence Painter Properties were proud sponsors of the event and presented all participants with medals for their efforts in raising funds in this seven kilometre run.

Silver Trophies and engraved glasses where just some of the prizes for

CIVIC AWARD
Terence Painter Properties were received a Civic Pride award in March 2002 for the construction of their Broadstairs office. The site used to house a theatre
that burnt down many years ago. Terence,James and the team at Broadstairs
were proud to have been awarded this recognition and love the new building.
